Himalaya can give a good account of himself this weekend at Ascot, says his Newmarket trainer Jeremy Noseda.

The colt finished second out of a field of 26 in June's Buckingham Palace Stakes on the same course.

Noseda is hoping his horse will go one better in Saturday's Victoria Racing Club International Stakes.

He said: "As long as there is a good amount of pace around him to lead him into the race, I feel he should be able to put up another good effort."

Himalaya, who has been drawn at 10 for the £75,000 event at Ascot, finished second in his most recent run-out at a Group Three race in Newcastle.

Noseda added: "I have been happy with Himalya since his last start and he'd previously run very well over Saturday's course and distance in the Buckingham Palace."

The horse will carry the race's top weight of 9st 7lb in an entry that includes fellow Newmarket trainer Michael Jarvis' Yaa Wayl.
